![]() There’s not much by way of goodies when it comes to budget grow lights, but at least you get a 2-year warranty. If you’re thinking of switching to LEDs as your primary light-source and want to test it out, or if you’re a beginner to cultivation, the Marshydro is a wonderful introduction into LEDs, without the hefty price tag. The Marshydro Reflector Series is tremendous value for money. Low-manufacturing costs, a solid build quality, and a 50,000 lifespan. For a ‘ghost’ growing project though, this LED will do just fine. If, for example, you wanted to grow 15 plants using two Reflector series’, I think you would have some trouble getting that light to the bottom of your plants. Thankfully, the Marshydro Reflector Series 144 performs admirably for such a little piece of equipment. Coverage Cutting back on costs by choosing a budget grow light can often present problems when it comes to coverage. When I tested the panel, as part of my Marshydro Reflector 720W LED Grow Light review, I could see a potential difficulty getting light beneath a larger canopy using multiple panels on larger areas. The Marshydro 144 is an ideal replacement for a 350W HID to be used on smaller grow projects. The issue comes if you’re thinking about using multiple lights. As a single unit, the Marshydro 144 is a great choice for small projects. The two-way veg to bloom switcher is not just for show and the red light-bands in the bloom stage really help your plants to reach their full potential. Versatilityįor a small time grow project, the Marshydro has everything you need for a good yield. These grow lights for plants will be one’s good companions as long as they choose the right light for the right plant. They are also good to coax a blooming houseplant to produce healthy flowers. So powerful in fact, that you can easily burn your plants if the panel gets too close to the canopy. These mars hydro reflector 144 are great for people who are nurturing vegetable seedlings in preparation for their spring garden. The light source itself is surprisingly powerful as well. Relative to its size, it’s going to use about half the amount of an HID, or HPS, which is a significant saving. The Marshydro Reflector 144 is hardly going to guzzle your electricity either, because the unit is so small. I’m a big fan of phase switches for different stages of growth because it saves heaps on electricity. When you engage the red heavy bloom, the coverage scales down to a modest 2 by 4 foot, which means you’ll have to trim your crop down to about 8 or so plants. This thing is great My plants are growing out of control, nice tight and bushy, great light penetration Im using. In the veg stage, you’ll get a straight 2.5 by 4.5 foot coverage, ample room for up to 10 young plants. I settled on the Mars Hydro Reflector 144.
